How to make mind sharp?

Memory keeps degrading with age. But the good news is that we can increase our mind power at any age by the help of following tips.

1.Do regular exercise :

Scientists states that doing regular physical exercise helps to keep brain healthy. While the heart and lungs respond loudly to a sprint on the treadmill, the brain is quietly getting fitter with each step, too. For mental fitness, aim for at least 30 minutes of physical   activity every other day.


2.Healthy eating:

        Eating lots of vegetables and fruits helps to increase  the power of brain. We are what we eat. If we eat healthy we will get healthy mind and body. But if we eat scrap our mind and body gets scrap. Healthy food helps to make new and healthy cells in the body. Include more omega fatty acid like fish, egg etc in your diet as they are best for brain function and fights  depression.


3.Get Enough sleep:

  Not taking enough sleep is another reason of brain damage. Adults should sleep for        6 to 8 hours whereas small children need sleep of 10 hours. When we don't sleep, a recent study found, proteins build up on synapses, possibly making it hard to think and learn new things


4. Stay Away From Stress:

Stress pollute both brain and body .So live a happy and cheerful life. Include  yoga and meditation along with physical exercise to keep stress at bay. Moreover living a more social life, watching movies at weekends, going out with friends, playing games and sports with family are also most important for living a happy and stress free life.


5. Exercise Your Brain :

Exercising the brain is also most important to keep brain active and healthy . Scientists claims that playing video games, puzzle games, Sudoku, crossword puzzle and challenging the memory makes our memory sharp and stronger.

6. Always eat On Time :

The number 1 bad habit of damaging brain is not eating breakfast early. Scientists states that if we do not take our breakfast early then we are directly damaging our brain. So eat your breakfast on time. Do not live with empty stomach for longer time .

The Effective Way To Study




Study is sometime interesting and sometime boring. There is reason for this; we can make study interesting, which will be good for the student. There are many ways to make study interesting and there are many things that makes study boring. But we don’t want boring study. So, we want to find out what need to be done for this.
First of all, student need to prepare for the study:


Manage your time: It is good idea to make schedule and arrange time for each subject. This will make easy and comfortable. It will help you to go through the schedule.


Place yourself: You should place yourself for study; other cannot study for you. You should maintain your speed of reading. Some students are naturally speed reading while some are not. Thus, I advise to find the speed reading technique. This will help to progress a lot in your study. You can take home tuition for this. Many home tuition institutions are available across Singapore. And House tutor is one of the popular one.


Get enough sleep: It is said that, one who didn’t sleep one night, he/she got disturbed for up to 4 days. The sleeping hours depends according to the age. The children need more sleeping hours while 7-9 hours is good for adult in 24 hours. If you feel desperately sleepy, take a short nap, but not more than 30 minutes and after you woke up, do some physical activities before you start your study.


Keep away from the electronic devices: Electronics devices like mobiles, tablets disturb while you are studying. So, it is good to be away from electronics devices while you're studying.
To make your study effective you need to set up Study Space:


Find a good study spot: You should not choose the place to study that is too comfortable that you fall asleep. The bed is not the best place to study.


Background music: It is good to listen to instrumental music while studying. The instrumental music does not have any word or any movie trace. So, it does not affect your concentration. Some like background sound like rains, waterfalls, thunder and jungle sounds.


Keep the television off: The television really distracts; you cannot focus on your study.
Finally, you should follow these techniques for effective study:
Survey and question about the subject you are going to study.
Use strategy of study like studying title, heading, first sentence of each paragraph, visualization and vocabulary, end summary and end questions.
Highlight the important details for each chapter.
Break things into smaller parts.
Make a group study.
